En gadeavis for danske statsborgere og statsløse
A streetpaper for Danish - and stateless citizens
D. 5 juni 2009 får de danske asylansøgere en stemme.
visAvis er et direkte resultat af projektet Asyl Dialog Tanken (ADT), der i januar og februar blev udviklet på baggrund af en række workshops med deltagere fra asylcentrene Kongelunden, Avnstrup og Sandholm samt elever fra Det Danske Kunstakademi, Arkitektskolen, Journalisthøjskolen og siden har fået tilslutning fra andre frivillige, akademikere, journalister, advokater m.m.
visAvis er et civilt projekt, uafhængigt af statslige institutioner. Avisens overskud går til projektets selvejende institution ADT, der støtter asylansøgere, f.eks. ved at finansiere juridisk bistand
visAvis vil som gadeavis skabe en direkte kontakt mellem asylansøgeren og aviskøberen.
visAvis is the direct result of the project Asylum Dialogue Tank (ADT), which was developed in the light of a series of workshops in January and February held by participants from the asylum centres; Kongelunden, Avnstrup and sandholm and by students from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, The School of Architecture, Copenhagen College of Social Work, The Danish School of Media and Journalism as well as other volunteers, academics, journalists, lawyers etc.
visAvis vil indeholde artikler, interviews, fotos og reportager skrevet og redigeret af asylansøgere og danske statsborgere. Avisen vil tage udgangspunkt i asylansøgerne og deres vilkår som flygtninge i Danmark i håb om at skabe en dynamisk platform for dialog mellem danskere og asylansøgere. On the 5th of June the Danish asylum seekers will get a voice.
VisAvis is a civil project and is independent of all stately institutions. The papers profit will be consumed by the projects self-governing institution ADT, which for instance supports asylum seekers by financing legal advice.
VisAvis will contain articles, interviews, photos and reports written and edited by asylum seekers and Danish citizens. The paper will take its starting point in the asylum seekers and their circumstances as refugees in Denmark in hope of creating a dynamic platform for dialogue between Danes and asylum seekers.
As a streetpaper visAvis will establish a direct contact between the buyer and the seller of the paper.
