This week's Special Events
Big house meeting
The big house meeting is the democratic parliament and information forum of Trampoline House, where users, interns, volunteers, and staff update each other on news and discuss urgent issues related to the house or life as a refugee/asylum seeker.
This week, the house meeting will be short (4–4.30 pm) as the house will participate in the memorial ceremony march #IngersAnsvar – Stop the lethal deportations! from 5-7 pm from Israel's Square to the Ministry of Integration, where a memorial ceremony will be held for the deceased man from Algeria that died as a result of a forced deportation.
Everyone who has 'praktik' (refugee internship) will get a transport ticket to attend the big house meeting – also if you don't have 'praktik' on Tuesdays!
Memorial ceremony march #IngersAnsvar – Stop the lethal deportations!
The groups Welcome to Denmark, No Deportations Without Resistance - Ingen Udvisninger Uden Modstand, and Black Lives Matter Denmark invite all to join this memorial ceremony march – this Tuesday from 5–7 pm.
A 34-year-old man from Algeria lost his life on Wednesday as a result of a forced deportation. The man was exposed to an extremely violent treatment aboard an AirFrance aircraft at Kastrup Airport. Eyewitnesses described the police’s use of force as "tough" and "extremely harsh".
We demand that Denmark begin to protect the lives that we are required to protect.
We will march from Israel's Square to the Ministry of Integration, where a memorial ceremony will be held for the deceased man from Algeria.
Introduction to the Danish asylum system
Every first Friday of the month, at 4–6 pm, it is possible to hear Michala Clante Bendixen from Refugees Welcome lecture about the Danish asylum system in Trampoline House. She explains the way through the Danish asylum system, how to assess an asylum claim, how many are coming, etc.
Entrance is free and all are welcome! A must if you are a new intern/volunteer/researcher in the house.
