CELEBRATION: UN’s World Refugee Day

Together with a number of organizations – Trampoline House included – Danish Action Aid has in conduction with the recent election in Denmark made three demands to the new government to loosen Denmark’s tight refugee policies. Join these organizations at Danish Action Aid’s space at Nørrebro on Thursday for a celebration of UN’s World Refugee Day where we pay tribute to all the brave and wonderful refugees who came to Denmark. There will be food, speeches, debate, and music. When: Thursday, June 20, 4:30–8 pm. Where: Danish Action Aid, Fælledvej 12, 2200 Copenhagen N.

ART: Get a free guided tour in exhibit about right-wing extremism

In light of the rise of racist, anti-immigration far-right groups and parties in Denmark and Europe, Trampoline House’s exhibition space CAMP / Center for Art in Migration Politics has just opened a new exhibition by Swedish artist Johan Tirén, which takes a critical look at the ideology of the Swedish right-wing populist party, The Sweden Democrats. Join us this Saturday and get a free guided tour. When: Saturday, June 22, 3–4 pm (admission 40 kr). Where: Trampoline House’s exhibition space CAMP.

DEMOCRACY CLASS: Leadership and principles of democracy

In this week’s Democracy Class, you can learn about democratic principles of leadership. All are welcome! When: Friday, June 21, 2:30–4 pm. Where: Trampoline House’s small classroom.

CHILDREN’S CLUB: Help us save the club

Trampoline House‘s children’s club, which is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, is the only chance for many families in deportation center Sjælsmark to catch a break. But we will have to close it down by September unless we raise 1 million kroner. This will mean that the families will no longer have access to children’s programs and family counseling. Help us save the club by finding one person in your network who will become a monthly donor or make a one-time donation here:
