Welcome to an artist talk and video screening with the internationally acclaimed Sudanese artist and political cartoonist Khalid Albaih, who also publishes works under the name "Khartoon" (a word play on Khartoum, Sudan's capital city). Albaih began drawing and sharing his drawings on social media during the Arab Spring in 2010. The drawings went viral but also found their way from the Internet to city walls in Cairo and Beirut. The themes of his drawings include how the Western and Arab world interacts, politics, inequality, migration, and the role of social media. When: Wednesday, April 3, 6:30–8 pm. TALK: The Danish Asylum System

Join us this Friday for a talk abut the Danish asylum system. Michala Clante Bendixen (Refugees Welcome Denmark) will explain the way through the Danish asylum system, how to assess an asylum claim, how many are coming etc. When: Friday, April 5, 4–6 pm. This Friday, Trampoline House invites members and guests to an awesome evening with community dinner, special events, bar, and dancing. Dinner is free, but we encourage volunteers/interns to make a donation of DKK 20 and guests to make a donation of DKK 30.

GUIDED TOUR: Deportation Center Sjælsmark

Are you wondering what a Danish asylum center looks like from the inside and what life conditions are offered to asylum seekers in Denmark, then join this tour. CHILDREN’S SCHOOL: Science class

Our intern Marijke is teaching a couple of science classes for the children in Trampoline House’s Children’s School on April 5 and April 12. Warm thanks to Marijke.

NEW CLASS: Italian

Volunteers Lewis and Badr will be teaching a new Italian language class together. Join them if you want to learn Italian or improve your Italian. When: Tuesdays, 5–6 pm. WOMEN’S CLUB: Kids dental care workshop

On Saturday, dentist Kaveh Golestani will visit Women’s Club and teach the mothers and their children how to take care of their teeth so they can last a lifetime
