Lots of great special events this week

Big House Meeting

The big house meeting takes place every last Tuesday of the month at 4–6 pm. Part of this meeting is an important discussion on how to launch a big campaign for improving the life conditions of asylum-seeking children in the Danish asylum system. Everyone who has 'praktik' (refugee internship) will get a transport ticket to attend the big house meeting – also if you don't have 'praktik' on Tuesdays! Click here for more info.

Art in Your Neighborhood Bike Tour

Cph Art Week is inviting all interested to a free guided tour of artist and curator run places in northern Copenhagen on August 30. The tour will make a stop at CAMP and Trampoline House at 5:15 pm. Grab your bike and come join the tour if you want to learn more about the history, mission, and methodology of CAMP and Trampoline House. Introduction to the Danish asylum system

Every first Friday of the month at 4–6 pm, Michala Clante Bendixen from Refugees Welcome is lecturing about the Danish asylum system in Trampoline House. She explains the way through the Danish asylum system, how to assess an asylum claim, how many are coming, etc. Entrance is free and all are welcome! A must if you are a new intern/volunteer/researcher in the house.

Presentation about the community center Khora for refugees in Athens

In Athens, there is a community center for refugees very similar to Trampoline House named Khora. Join us for a presentation by co-founder Camilla Lynge, who will tell us about Khora and the situation for refugees in Athens and in Greece in general. The event takes place this Friday at 7:30–8:30 pm in Trampoline House. Free admission and all are welcome.

1st Friday of the month party

Every first Friday of the month, Trampoline House invites members and guests to an awesome evening with community dinner, special events, bar, and dancing. Click here to see the full program.

Campaign workshops for asylum-seeking children

In September, Trampoline House will launch a big campaign to improve rights and life conditions for children in the Danish asylum system. This Sunday at 2–6 pm, we are doing a series of workshops where children living in the Danish asylum centers can get help to express themselves and share facts about their daily lives: video workshop, speech writing workshop, banner and sign production workshop, interview workshop. Children and their parents from centers on Sjælland are welcome. We will end the day by having dinner together.
