The presentation presents the goals, strategies and motivations to act for civil society associations, pro-migrant groups, individuals and movements. Key questions are: Who are the actors involved? What are their claims? What are the results of their activities? What forms of civic activism do they refer to and what are the perspectives of these movements?
The lecture is based on a chapter for the book: "Citizens’ Activism and solidarity Movements in Contemporary Europe: Contending with Populism" (Palgrave/Macmillan) Fort, ed. by Birte Siim, Aino Saarinen and Anne Krasteva.
Free admission - all are welcome.
