Our art practice
Trampolinhuset began as an artistic exploration but soon developed into what we now know as The Trampoline House. However, as our roots lie in art, and because art has the power to bring about change, we continue to organise art projects and exhibitions. We used to have our own exhibition spaces called CAMP (Centre for Art and Migration Politics) in the building on Thuravej, which closed in 2020. Since then, we have collaborated with many different institutions and artists.
Institutional exhibitions:
2022
documenta fifteen Participation (Kassel, Germany): As a core collective member, Trampoline House hosted a 100-day series of events in Kassel. Our space ("Castle in Kassel") featured public drawing sessions, poetry readings, and performances.
2023
Exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art Roskilde: Trampoline House participated in the Non Performing exhibition. As part of this, they set up an off-site community and art space near the Avnstrup deportation center in the Sankt Hans Hospital complex.
2026
Installation on Palestina Plads, Copenhagen. “The exhibition venue Palæstinas Plads is a hub for art, culture and community in Nørrebro, with a focus on collective-based art in public spaces” says the artistic director Frederikke Koch. Trampoline House have been invited to make a temporary public sculpture installation that will be inaugurated in November/December 2026.
